SAMS 2016 Geography Bee Participants

Congratulations to the SAMS 2016-2017 Geography Bee winner Josue Escalante and runner up Austin Havens.  Josue will now complete a written exam as a preliminary to the state level Geography Bee.  If his written exam score is high enough, he will move to the state level later in 2017.

AIG Parent Sessions:

This year, we held our annual AIG parent meeting as an entire group during the first week of October.  If you were unable to attend, please look for your students Differentiated Education Plan (DEP) to come home the week of October 24th.  Return this to SAMS with the highlighted portions completed.

Student Enrichment Opportunities 

Math Tutoring
Tutoring will be done by AHS National Honor Society students on Wednesdays from 7:55-8:20 OR 3:30-4:30pm in the Media Center.  Please bring work to tutoring if you plan to come. We would love to have your AIG students!

Check out the link for interesting opportunities​ for students. Letters to 7th grade students qualifying to participate in the DUKE TIP program were sent home with students early this fall. If you have questions, please contact me.


Geography Bee​ 
Check out this link to prepare for the bee or just for fun!   
All students will participate in a geography bee during their social studies classrooms this fall. Students will take a written test to qualify and the top 10 highest scores are chosen to participate in the school bee.
